Similarities Between the two

So last semester in my twice told tale class I was told to relate certain stories to one another. The novel that me and my partner read was "Twilight", obviously very well known and the movie came in handy to when trying to review it. I sat down and just started writing, I wrote for four hours and came out with two stories to compare "Twilight", Romeo and Juliet and The Bible. That's where we come to the conversation at hand. What do Vampires and Jesus have in common? On a side note I was raised in a very Roman Catholic home so all of what I had found and compared started world war 3 at home.
First Jesus is quoted in saying at the last supper “Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day”

His disciples figuritivly drank Jesus' blood the night before he was killed and three days later he rose from the dead.

I want something to be clear, I'm not saying that Jesus was a Vampire per say, rather I am stating that maybe the idea of Vampirism came from the most unlikely of places, Jesus Christ
